Illinois AFL-CIO Announces Endorsements for 2026 General Election
ROSEMONT, Ill. — The Illinois AFL-CIO today announced its endorsements for the November 2026 general election, backing candidates in federal, state, and judicial races across Illinois. The endorsements were recommended by delegates to the Committee on Political Education (COPE), representing more than 1,500 affiliated unions, and confirmed by the Illinois AFL-CIO Executive Board....
To earn the federation’s endorsement, candidates must demonstrate a commitment to working families through their voting record, a submitted questionnaire, input from local labor unions and councils, and in-person interviews. Endorsed candidates benefit from the Illinois AFL-CIO’s political program, which connects union volunteers directly to the 1.7 million union household members across the state through canvassing, phone banking, and text banking. In addition to its field operations, the Illinois AFL-CIO supports endorsed candidates with mail and digital outreach to union households and provides affiliated unions with tools to reach their members through customized mail, text, and email programs.
Candidates endorsed by the Illinois AFL-CIO include:
U.S. House 15th – Jennifer Todd (D)

My friend Jennifer Todd and I have spent many hours traveling around the 15th District over the last year.
During that time, we have had the opportunity to talk with many people in the district about their concerns regarding healthcare costs and availability, day-to-day affordability for working families, and crumbling infrastructure across the district.
I am proud to support and vote for her in November! She needs all of our support in the general election against the incumbent, Mary Miller!

Mia,
That was an amazing Primary win. Congrats! The prospectus looks great -- she sounds very relatable and the kind of change that voters are looking for. I especially like the comparison with Mary Miller with specific votes.
Consider the NOW PAC endorsement for the General too. On to another victory!!

This fall, you will face a choice.
I have said it since day one: your choice is between cruelty and compassion. Which will YOU stand for?
As you have always known, I stand for compassion and courage. That's why I stand for Jennifer Todd as your best choice for actual change.
Over the past year, I’ve traveled across Illinois' 15th Congressional District with Jennifer Todd, and what we’ve seen and heard from regular people is unacceptable. Families are being crushed by skyrocketing costs across every part of our lives, and our infrastructure is falling apart while leadership in Washington looks the other way.
That’s exactly why I’m all in for Jennifer Todd. She’s not afraid to take this head-on, and I’ll happily be voting for her in November.
If YOU want real change, we need to rally behind her and send Mary Miller packing.
-Kyle Nudo
Jennifer Todd has my full support and my wholehearted endorsement.
She’s ready to lead, ready to do the work, and ready to represent this district the way it should be represented. She will serve with integrity, accountability, and a genuine commitment to the people here. I trust her, and I believe in her ability to carry this work forward.
This moment is bigger than any one person or just this district. We have to right this ship.
We must unseat Mary Miller for the 15th. She has failed to represent the people of this district and has lost sight of whom she serves. We cannot afford more of the same.
More importantly, if we are serious about changing the direction of this country, we must start here. We must flip this seat. And we must do our part to help flip the House. That’s how we restore accountability, protect our democracy, and begin to put our country back on the path it deserves.
I’m asking you to stand with Jennifer. Support her. Encourage her. Fight alongside her.
Because this isn’t just about a campaign, it never was. It’s about the future we leave behind for our kids and grandkids. And it’s about the future for working families, for veterans, for seniors, for women, for minorities, for the LGBTQ+ community, for immigrants, and everyone who deserves to be seen, heard, and represented.

ENDORSEMENT OF JENNIFER TODD FOR CONGRESS, 15TH DISTRICT
The Warren County Democratic Central Committee is proud to endorse Jennifer Todd in her race for the 15th District Congressional seat. Jennifer’s working-class roots allow her to truly understand the difficulties many people across the 15th District are facing.
In particular, her experience as a nurse gives her firsthand insight into the challenges working families face in accessing quality healthcare and the fears rural communities have about losing their local hospitals.
These problems are not new to rural Illinois, but they have been greatly magnified by the “big ugly bill” supported by Jennifer’s opponent in this race.
We encourage you to learn more about Jennifer by visiting jentodd2026.us and casting your vote for her this fall.
