Following medical evidence
I’ve spent my career as a nurse taking care of people. I’m also a mom.
So when I see changes being proposed that could make it harder to protect our kids from serious, preventable diseases, I have to speak up.
The proposal to separate the measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine concerns me.
Parents should absolutely be able to ask questions. But the answers should come from medical evidence and healthcare professionals, not politics.
Here in the communities we call home, families already face challenges getting healthcare.
Some parents drive long distances for care while balancing work, childcare, and everything else life throws at them.
We should be making healthcare easier, not harder.
And unfortunately, Mary Miller’s votes have repeatedly done the opposite.
She has voted for legislation that cuts Medicaid and SNAP, programs that many of our families rely on.
Now we’re seeing proposals that could make routine childhood healthcare more complicated, if not deadly, while putting politics ahead of medical expertise.
Our families deserve better.
