PRESS RELEASE
Nurses: America's most trusted profession for 24 years
Nurses have been ranked the most honest and ethical profession in America for 24 consecutive years.
So why are there only three nurses serving in Congress right now?
Nurses are trusted because we show up for people at their most vulnerable.
We listen. We ask questions. We speak up when something isn't right.
We advocate for patients who may not have the knowledge, resources, or ability to advocate for themselves.
And we care for everyone who comes through our doors, regardless of their beliefs, background, or whether we agree with them.
That’s what it means to serve, and it’s exactly what people deserve from their elected representatives.
A member of Congress should work for everyone in their district, not just the people who agree with them or voted for them.
Every constituent deserves to be heard, represented, and treated with respect.
I'm Jennifer Todd, and I've been a nurse for over 30 years.
I've seen what happens when people can't afford their medications, rural hospitals struggle to stay open, and families have to choose between their health and paying their bills.
These are real problems affecting families across Illinois' 15th District. Nurses understand how decisions made in Washington affect patients, families, and communities.
We need more nurses in Congress who bring that firsthand experience to the decisions that affect all of us.
Instead, our district is represented by Mary Miller, who has supported policies that put healthcare coverage and food assistance at risk.
We deserve better.
That’s why I'm running: I'm a nurse, a mom, and someone who believes every family deserves a voice in Washington.
On November 3, we have a chance to defeat Mary Miller and elect a nurse who will listen, stand up for working families, and represent everyone in our district.
But we need your help to get there.
With Election Day approaching, we have voters to reach across 35 counties. We need to make calls, spread our message, and get our supporters to the polls.
Trust and Accountability Matter
Americans have trusted nurses for 24 consecutive years. It's time to bring more of that experience, honesty, and commitment to serving others to Congress.
Help me defeat Mary Miller and bring a nurse's voice to Washington for Illinois' 15th District.
Thank you for being part of this fight.
Jennifer Todd
Democratic Nominee for Congress
Illinois' 15th District

With Mary Miller maintaining an exceptionally light campaign footprint and avoiding public town halls, Todd—a retired registered nurse—is utilizing the open field to argue that voters deserve an active choice.
