GLEN CARBON, IL - The Illinois AFL-CIO has endorsed Jennifer Todd, Democratic candidate for Congress in Illinois' 15th Congressional District, in advance of the November 3 general election.
The endorsement was recommended by delegates representing more than 1,500 affiliated unions and approved by the Illinois AFL-CIO Executive Board.
“I’m honored to have the support of the Illinois AFL-CIO. This endorsement means a great deal to me because I was raised in a union household and saw firsthand that being part of a union meant knowing you weren’t on your own when times got tough,” Todd said. “Across the 35 counties of Illinois’ 15th Congressional District, families are working hard and still struggling with the cost of housing, health care, groceries, and raising a family.”
Todd is running for Congress to make sure working people have someone in their corner, fighting for better wages, better benefits and greater opportunities to help families build a secure future.
